This offshoot of a popular New Orleans hangout for politicians features decor of dark woods and comfortable booths, with a separate bar scene. Choice cuts of custom-aged beef arrive in sizzling butter on 500-degree plates. The menu also offers chicken, pork and seafood entrees along with Creole appetizers like shrimp remoulade. Family-style sides include gargantuan onion rings, creamed spinach and various styles of potatoes. Traditional homemade desserts like cheesecake and bread pudding conclude the meal.

Great food with top notch service. I just visited Ruth's Chris for the first time and was highly impressed. We made a reservation online for 6:30 and were seated immediately. Everyone uses your last name and frequently checks on your satisfaction. Food was great, cooked exactly as ordered and brought out with almost no wait. Portions were actually a little larger than I expected for a high dollar restaurant. Again, service is where the meal really shined. In error, the wait staff brought out broccoli instead of our ordered mashed potatoes. They allowed us to keep the broccoli, no charge, and served us the mashed potatoes as well. Although that wasn't expected, it was a nice touch.

There are a few things to know before going though. First, the prices are not cheap. Expect to pay anywhere from mid $30 to low $40 per steak, and similar prices for all other main courses. Appetizers are in the $8 to $15 range, and most salads and desserts are around $8. Prices are not posted anywhere but in the physical menus at the restaurant when seated, so this is good to know beforehand when budgeting for a nice night out. Although I did not order any wine or alcohol, there is a huge offering...anywhere from $8 drinks to $125 a glass 75+ year aged cognacs. Drinks seemed to average around $13. Also, most dishes are very butter laden. All steaks are drizzled in sizzling butter when brought out, and while this does add flavor, I found it to become a little overwhelming. I would definitely ask to skip the butter next time around myself.

A great tip if you are going out for a special occasion, such as an anniversary, is to book a reservation online and select that you are there for an anniversary. To my surprise, not only did everyone congratulate us...they also stated that they give a complimentary dessert for the occasion. I was expecting a bottom line item, but indeed they offered the full dessert menu for us to choose from. Definitely a nice touch to a great evening out.

SIMPLY THE BEST. THIS RESTURANT WAS EXCELLENT! I HAVENT HAD ONE THIS GOOD IN FL AS OF YET. THE SERVICE WAS INCREDIABLE. EVEN THE VALET PARKING ATTENDANT WAS GREAT. I WOULD RATE THIS RESTURANT 99.9! YOU WILL SPEND $$$ BUT WELL WORTH IT.

Fabulous Steakhouse!. Everything is excellent here, but be prepared to spend a pretty penny. No doubt the evening will be an enjoyable one, the service and food are the best. They all address you by your last name to make your visit personal.
