HORRIBLE SERVICE!.
Though they are open until 7:00 p.m., they don’t take appointments after 6:00 p.m. My wife and I carpool to/from work in Boca, so 6:00 p.m. is the latest she could have made it in. All she was
getting was an eyebrow wax, which has only taken 10 minutes in the past. Also, due to our commute, she’s had to come in a little bit late before (6:10ish), which has never been a problem.
We left work at 5:15 (early for us) so that we could make it to the appointment on time, but unfortunately, there was an accident on I-95 and we were running about 10 to 15 minutes late. Out of courtesy, my wife called the spa to let them know that we were running late. The person who answered the phone was Lauren, and she gave my wife a very snotty attitude and said that we would have to reschedule. Confused, my wife said that in the past we'd been able to show up a bit late, but Lauren's attitude only worsened—she adopted a tone of very contrived, valley-girlish false sympathy and said there was nothing she could do.
My wife asked to speak to a manager. Chrystal then answered the phone. My wife presented our dilemma to her and asked if she might still be able to come in (only ten or fifteen minutes late, remember, during an hour when supposedly no appointments were scheduled), and Chrystal too gave her a nasty attitude, saying it wasn't her problem and that my wife would have to reschedule. My wife protested, pointing out that she was only running ten or so minutes late and that it hadn't been a problem in the past, but Chrystal didn't want to do anything at all about it.
My wife then said that she would not be coming back to The Lane Spa, and Chrystal's EXACT RESPONSE was "Not a problem."
This is the attitude they have there, apparently. My wife used to go there pretty regularly, since we live so close—we probably used to spend a thousand dollars there in any given year and now no longer will, but this is evidently "not a problem."
I don't understand three things: 1) why the staff of any establishment would actually argue against and try to prevent the return of a loyal customer who is certain to spend money; 2) why the staff of any establishment would think the loss of a consistent source of revenue, no matter how large or small, is "not a problem," and 3) why the staff of any establishment would smugly tell a departing customer that the loss of her business was “not a problem.”
Staff members there, specifically Lauren and Chrystal, clearly haven't noticed that the US economy isn't exactly thriving right now. I would think any business might be treated as valued business, but I guess they don't feel this way. My guess is they don’t value their jobs, either, since any owner in his or her right mind would fire such worthless employees on the spot upon learning of such poor representation of the company.
Plenty of far better and kinder businesses have gone under in recent years. This place absolutely deserves to be closed.…
Can't go wrong with the Lane Spa! So relaxing!. Thankfully I found the Lane Spa on Citysearch recently-- LIFE IS GOOD!! Beautiful facilities, tons of spa services to choose from, I wouldn't go to any other day spa for a spa treatment. I had my favorite spa before I moved, but since I'm here in West Palm Beach for good, I'm dedicated to this place now!!…
