New York Prime

NY Prime Indeed!. I am not quite sure what happened to the last two guests who commented regarding NY Prime; however, our experience was first class. Even though we are once every two years diners of such a place, every employee treated us as if we were weekly guests. Our waiter was a refined, dedicated, hospitality expert and in the future when we visit again, we will request him.

The food is nothing short of outstanding. Tender, perfectly grilled steaks cooked right the first time. As for the side dishes, they were abundant and delicious. Our desert sounds simple, yet the chocolate cake is so good you will save a little to take home because you cannot duplicate that taste with a store bought cake.

Of course it is a bit pricier than other places but you know this before entering. Because it is a little more expensive your expectations are also higher and NY Prime delivers. They did this time and on our last visit two years ago.

My compliments go out to the management and entire staff for a job well done. It was a great, memorable night for us.

Please remove the ny from your name.... Food was awful. Service was retarded. Bartenders had the night off from the pole. Manager is a wannabe mobster...honestly vie had better fries at nj diners and better meat at mcdonalds. The only thing you have going for you is thAt there is nothing better in town...…

DON'T EAT HERE! EVEN FOR FREE. It amazes me that anyone ever returns to this insulting mess of a restaurant. By far the best part of our anniversary dinner were the courteous and efficient valets. Thank you valets! No thanks whatsoever for the bored and put out receptionist who was supposed to offer greetings, not attitude. No thanks to the waiter who couldn't be bothered to even offer a "good evening" to us, and who displayed an incredible indifference and inattention to us all evening. No thanks to the worlds loudest piano player, who ruined any attempt at conversation. No thanks to the bus boys who speak no English. No thanks to the food buyer who clearly goes for the cheapest cuts of meat on the block. No thanks to the chef who serves food cooked according to his or her whim, rather than what you ordered. No thanks to the loud dressing, gold wearing, steak, potato, butter, and sour cream quaffing 300 lb clients who make you feel overstuffed just by looking at them.

And certainly no thanks to ownership and management who have created a menu system and pricing where it is virtually impossible to exit for less than $300.00 per couple.

Talk about adding insult to injury!…

Over-Rated And way over-priced. NY Prime is the kind of place that you go to once to see what all the wannabees are talking about and if you are smart you dont ever return. If you like waiting for a table for 2-3 hours, (unless of course you know one of the boys) then this is the place for you.

Dont you think a steak house should know how to prepare a steak? We all sent back our steaks three times since they were all raw ! The place is obnoxiously loud. The tables are uncomfortable and they keep the place way too cold even in the winter months, when the a/c is blaring. The staff barely speaks English, (mostly Brazilians living in Pompano i suppose) and the food is horrific. The creamed spinach was vile. The only thing I enjoyed was the bread. The dessert we ordered were sundaes prepared tableside . One of us had encountered a foreign object in the ice-cream which resembled stringy human mucous. We brought it to the attention of management and they dismissed us as if they could care less !

I would not recommend this overrated dump to my worst enemy. Save your hard -earned cash and go to Ruth's Chris. Dont believe it if someone says that NY PRIME is good. It truly isnt !…
