Above and beyond. While on vacation in the Ft. Lauderdale area part of my Nikon lens came loose. I went to Delray Camera where they were more than happy to help me. The service tech was able to quickly diagnose what was wrong with my lens and did a great job it quickly and at very little cost. The service tech even cleaned my lens for me. While there I shopped for some accessories and got some great recommendations!

Great Camera Store. This is what a camera store should be - great selection and very knowledgeable and helpful staff!

Their selection of camera accessories is so extensive that it's hard to believe that they manage to fit it all in such a small store-front (although there is a good deal of room in the back, much is taken up by a studio that is available to rent for photographers that need the occassional use of an equiped studio).

I am a professional photographer and now that most of the "mom and pop" camera stores (and even the large brick and mortar chains like Wolf/Ritz) are gone, I feel blessed to have a place i can go and find what I need at fair prices and with top notch service.

A five star store if ever there was one!!!

Top Notch Camera Shop. Well, I was in town for a commercial shoot project, and one of the production assistants dropped my multimeter from a ladder. Needles to say it shattered the screen, and was not working. I called the Delray Camera Shop, as they were the closest shop to Boca Raton, where we were shooting. They had the same multi meter in new stock, and at a great price. They save the day for me.

This shop is loaded with new and used inventory, and the sales staff was outstanding to deal with. I highly recommend this place, and, still every time I'm in the Delray area, I stop buy and talk with these guys. There Great!!!

Outstanding Place. This camera shop has been a local favorite for decades in the Delray Beach area. The service is outstanding. They stock a large inventory of just about anything your can dream of from dark room goodies, to lighting equipment, and binoculars. They have it all. I needed a Nikon battery for my D3, in stock. Not waiting, or having to order it in.

This shop is great if you are a beginner or top professional shooter. They have it all, and with great service.

The last mom and pop camera shop stands the test of time. Well the internet killed the camera retail shop. The big guy Ritz is dead. Palm Beach Photo is gone. You can shop internet or you can go to a real live camera shop. it's a great place to hang out and try out the many bags, tripods, monopods, flashes, bodies etc. The idiot who purchased a minolta film camera is not the typical experience I have had here for over 30 years. Chris and the Jim's are great guys. If you act like an idiot you will be treated like one and I know that the place is not perfect but I would give it at least 4 stars. You can always tell a shill review when its so gushingly perfect. Delray Camera is crowded and way to small but definetly a place to go for Nikon gear. One of the pros that work there is pretty cranky but that's his personality. The black dog is a gem so bring him a snack. If you need to develop film it's the place to go. Old photos to DVD and stuff like that. For weddings the Jim in the back is great and does amazing work even if he shoots Canon he is still a great guy that has decades of knowldege. So you can go to Adorama or BH but if you want a local store to stay in business then go there an buy something or it too will go the way of Ritz, Wolf etc and your left buy ing your gear at the big box or on the internet. Don't buy gear on eBay unless I'm selling it.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!!. I was a photography student at FAU and needed a 35mm camera for a 6 week summer class. I went to Delray Camera Shop and asked the man working behind the counter if he could please give me the best deal on a camera considering I only needed it for 6 weeks. He began showing me the used cameras that were for sale and convinced me to buy a Pentax K1000. I had never used a 35mm camera before and was completely clueless on how to even take a picture with it. He showed me exactly what I needed to do and assured me the "used" camera was "in great shape". He charged me $145 and after shooting 2 rolls of film, I got into the blackroom at school only to realize my "$145, in great shape camera" was defective/BROKEN!!!!! I went online to Ebay and found the exact same camera for $35! Not only did he rip me off but he sold me a broken camera! BEWARE!!!
