ECHO SHMECKO.
Although we dined at Echo during the busy easter/passover week, we were dismayed at the raucous crowd of young obnoxious palm beach locals. Intoxicated, drunk and noisy, these spoiled scions of one of the wealthiest cities in America possessed no manners, respect for their surroundings and an overall disrespect for fellow diners. It was as if the restaurant had been mistaken for a frat house/local pub. No matter how many pieces come in a typical order of a sushi roll, nothing can make up for the crowd that sits, smokes, does keg stands, yells, and hoots and hollers on the front porch of the restaurant.
Be prepared to purchase and bring your top top of the line gas mask as the amount of nicotine and smoke that bellows off the porch is overwhelming to even the marlboro man.

A meal at this pan-Asian beauty shows what all the shouting is about..
In Short
Possibly the most exquisitely designed restaurant in Palm Beach, Echo was created with so much loving attention to detail that it's almost overwhelming. From the brushed steel chopsticks and geometric plates to the cobalt blue glassware, beauty is everywhere. Palm Beach's glitterati can't get enough of it, despite the noise and raucous. The menu, divided into "themes" of water, wind, earth and fire, draws on the cuisines of Vietnam, Japan, China and Thailand.
Excellent asian fusian restaurant. I dine here as often as possible. The food, service, ambience and staff are all excellent. I am always trying new appetizers and the sushi rolls are very unique. All the food here is fresh and the scene is great for a date or for a large group. Great wine, drinks and sake.
What are people thinking?. The food is pretty good, but way overpriced. The service is terrible. The menu is not that interesting. We had reservations on a Tuesday for 7:45, didn't get seated until twenty minutes afterward, had to sit outside with a dog at one table next to us and two smokers at another. Sushi was good, but the rest of the food did NOT live up to the hype.
