MANAGEMENT TEAM IS A DISASTER. “THE MANAGEMENT TEAM IS A DISASTER, GO ELSEWHERE..VERY DISSAPOINTED”

The food at Morton's is always Very Good and prepared very nicely. If you have any problems with the steaks, undercooked etc the servers and chef have no problems and are really attentive, helpful and kind.

We absolutely LOVE Morton's with the exception of the two managers 'Larry' and 'Brian', that have been there for a few years now. We have been eating at Morton's for over 12 years and have seen a couple Managers come and go. Many words come to mind when trying to explain how unlikely these two make for Managers in such a Fine establishment. Its like watching a crazy comedy skit .Unfortunately these two are not very funny, they are unprofessional idiots.

When these two are working on a night when our family comes in its always the same. They both have very rude, snobby attitudes and we dont believe either of these men have had any previous Managerial skills,in fact Brian absolutely does not. Let alone people skills.

Example: We were given a loaf of bread before our meal. While eating the bread my husband pulls a blue plastic 3" wrapper out of his mouth. Obviously this had to be baked into the bread somehow. We noticed one manager ' Larry' at a table right next to ours with a patron, only because he was there the entire time we arrived, hob-nobbing, obviously. When I said "excuse me", he shot me daggers and unhappily came over to our table. We explained what happened and he said "We'll get you another loaf!" That was the extent of it.

No apology no nothing! My husband and I were in disbelief as he went back to the poor patrons at the table he was bellied up to all night, they looked like they just wanted to eat their meals.

Another example of the dynamic duo managers antics was when my family came in for a celebratory dinner. "Larry" actually sat us this eve and never said one word to us. Very rude and snobby as usual. We were towards the end of the meal both 'Larry' and 'Brian' walked in front of our table and in loud voices said "I wish this table over here would clear-out so we could fill it again." Are you joking us!?

We suppose the only way these two are keeping their jobs is by saving Corporate money somewhere along the line. Otherwise they would have been canned awhile ago. From what we understand about 10 Mortons around the area that have closed down, so we figure there are about 20 Good Men or Women who could take Larry and Brians jobs and do a much more professional job.

Larry the main manager had dispicable Halloween pics on the internet about himself and was made to take them off. One of the line cooks has been in the news about doing horrific things with the asparagus in his pants and acting sexual with other servers and cooks. If you ask us this Management should be CLEANED OUT and new ones brought in.They are all a hazard to have around and someone way high up must be getting something from Larry to actually keep him around through all these things any other manager would have been fired for.

USDA prime beef, elegant tableside service and mammoth martinis.. In Short
With its dark wood details, celebrity photos and tuxedo-clad waiters, this upscale steakhouse chain has the air of a posh men's club. Service is professional and discreet, with bartenders making a mean martini. Dinners begin with a waiter-driven cart laden with fresh vegetables, live lobster and cuts of steak; customers choose from porterhouse, rib-eye, bone-in prime rib and more. Side dishes are traditional and enormous, from baked potatoes and creamed spinach to steamed broccoli with hollandaise.

Extremely OverRated. My husband took me to Morton's the Sunday after Valentine's Day. We lived in Chicago for 2 decades and were frequent patrons of Morton's and loved the food. Expecting a great steak and side dishes I was horrified when I couldn't chew my steak and my jaw actually began to hurt. The side of hash browns was dripping in oil and all I could see was a crust without potatoes. My husband's steak was somewhat raw and had to be put back on the grill. The final straw was the cheescake which I had to send back...enough was enough. The service was fine and the decor was elegant. The food was very expensive and not worth half of what we spent. No more Morton's for us. We were told this by a great number of people who had been here but we just had to taste for ourselves.

Excellent Dining Experience. Although oddly located in a strip shopping center, Morton's is distinquished by large wooden doors at the entrance and an elequent dining room. The service was excellent, with our waiters offering candid advise to us as first time guests. We observed the servers carefully timing the delivery of each course to match the pace of the guests; they knew how to properly serve dinner. The food was all prepared as ordered to perfection, and delicious. Portions are generous. Our total bill for two diners (non-drinkers) including 20% tip was $160.
