Worst service ever. We were looking forward to our daughters birthday dinner at Tempura House in Boca. To be sure everything went right, we booked our reservation for 10 two weeks in advance, and confirmed it twice. We even dropped off the birthday cake that afternoon and made sure that they know we'd show up for our reservation.

When we showed up, we were told that the reservation we made was not 'really' a reservation (they never explained what it really was) and they seated people on a first come, first served basis.

When we asked to speak to a manager, the hosted said she would not call a manger to speak to us. I actually had to go into the kitchen find him myself.

When I finally found him, he agreed with me and told me that I'd have the next table available.

When the hostess seated another family at the table I was promised, I asked her why I wasn't seated at the table I was promised, she said that the person I had spoken to wasn't 'really' the manager.

If you are with me so far, my reservation wasn't 'really' a reservation and the manager wasn't 'really' a manager. Being fearful that their steak might not 'really' be steak, we decided to find another restaurant.

I can't stress enough that if you are thinking about going to this place - look elsewhere. Tempura House in Boca get 20 thumbs down.

Tempura House does not honor a confirmed 9PM reservation on New Years Eve for 40 people!. On New Years Eve Tempura House cannot seat 40 people who made a reservation and confirmed it!!

Although the food is not bad, this restaurant never seats its reservations on time. We planned to go for Hibachi on New Years Eve. We made the reservation for 40 people in advance and confirmed it. We were told there was a minimum of a 30 minute wait. After walking through the Hibachi area it became clear that the people had just sat down. We were lucky to find place at the Italian and Mexican in the same center. We learned that at least two other tables of 8 were eating at the Italian because they to could not be seated. Lets stop eating here....this place needs to take better care of its customers.
