Great place for a romantic dinner. I have heard about this place for some time and have wanted to try it. Finally found the right time. And the right person to share it with. Owner/Chief Jonathan was very helpful setting up a reservation. I like the idea of a slower dining experience. The food courses were paced very well. Most places seem so rushed these days. We were able to relax enjoy a great wine(corkage was a respectable $30 per bottle) with our meal. Jon says he is working on a "great wine" list. Cant wait! The food was a delight. I had the lamb as a main dish but everything sounded good. Dessert was fantastic also. I would repeat!
AMAZING!. First of all I have used CitySearch for 3 years now to find amazing restaurants. I love the hands on reviews and am never disappointed with my selections. This is my first review in 3 years, so you know this place is great. It is extremely small (seriously 5 2-tops and an 8-top) but very cozy. The lighting is very romantic, and I liked the mismatch plates. I thought the place had a lot of character. The windows are all covered so you don't have to worry about the hustle and bustle of people outside. The hostess was extremely polite ,and my glass of wine never ran empty. The chef explained the menu and the various main courses in great detail. I had the most perfectly cooked filet and scallop of my life. It literally melted in my mouth. The poached pear and cheese was equally amazing. The only downside to this place was the wine bar next door that started to become very loud at the end of our dining experience. It's not too bad if you are in good company. ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! Thanks to this lovely economy (j/k) there is a 2 for 1 special for February 2009. Just print out the voucher under special offers on their website and present it to them BEFORE you start your dining experience.
Best of Boca.
After having spent 40 years in the food service industry, I still derive pleasure from the few special people that still exhibit pride in producing quality gourmet cuisine. In my past career I had the pleasure of sharing informative moments with Clementine Paddleford, the great New York food critic. I learned that quality and originality were the key ingredients that made these few restaurants stand out as above and beyond.
That is why, without hesitation I recommend you pencil in on your dining agenda the small and special cubby delight, SIX TABLES at 112 N.E. 2nd Street Boca Raton. 561-347-6260 Mizner Plaza. They are a bit pricey but well worth it.
The 6 course gourmet meal will whet your quality senses and if you share the occasion with that special person, it will stir the emotional warmth that makes life such a great adventure. I decided that I would not describe the menu because the adventure of great dining is in the expectations. Call Jonathan and enjoy.
The best fine dining experience in Boca Raton.
Well, we just returned from the finest dining experience of my life. I took my sister in law for a going away dining experience. I wanted a set menu in fine dining to make the experience memorable. My expectations were exceeded. Not only was the food superb, the service was second to none, the atmosphere was very friendly and warm. There is no greater value for money than a very well prepared meal in a cozy and intimate restaurant. You feel catered to, particularly when the maitre de and executive chef tell you about the history of the restaurant and the menu they have prepared for you. Hard to believe you can spend 3 hours plus relaxing and enjoying one course after another . After every delectable item your palate is refreshed with a complimentary next item or the fresh made bread, lime sherbet or the cheese and port. This restaurant will be my favorite and recommended highly to anyone who enjoys a terrific experience! Definitely worth the price.
I had the lamb entree and my sister in law had the asian salmon. The portions were just perfect, the timing of the next course was enough to make the delivery desirable; we never felt rushed and were amazed to find 3 hours had passed. Rudely, I answered my phone while relaxing only because I wanted to tell anyone I could immediately that they must rush to experience a bit of heaven on earth. Our host, Johnathan and chef, Blake were gracious, informative and obviously enjoyed excelling at their craft. I have eaten in some of the best restaurants in places from Vancouver, BC to London, England. I know I will never travel far to experience the best right in my back yard. Congratulations; they are now in Las Vegas and other points but all, I am sure dedicating the same level of perfection in every location. I'll be back in short order to share this treasure with the rest of my family!
Intimate dinning at its best. As a professional chef who has traveled the world I can give you a word of advice, this is an amazing and unique experience not to be missed. If you are fed up with lousy, over rated, over priced, pretentious food with equally deplorable service, I have to tell you Six Tables will be a relief. It has elegant food and personal service that is reminiscent of a quaint bistro in Paris. Six Tables is a perfect way to escape the hustle and bustle of other high end restaurants I?ve been to (and have worked in). Personally, as a chef, I welcome this refreshing alternative and applaud its concept. If you?re going to dine out, it is by far a better way to eat.
The best in Boca Raton. Eating at Six Tables is an extraordinary experience! The intimate candlelit dining arrangement without busboys or the rest of a noisy restaurant is incredible. There is something for everyone on the wonderful menu which is complimented by a selection of outstanding wines. In addition to the upscale setting, there is the attentive personalized service which makes one feel like royalty. Whether you live in Boca Raton or visiting, please add Six Tables for your dining pleasure.
Editorial Review. Six-course meals served in an upscale atmosphere. There are only six tables, creating a very personal dining experience.
What a relaxing yet elegant place. Wow, did we enjoy ourselves! Jon is a great host, the chef came out of the kitchen and told us about his creations. The ambiance is fantastic; beautiful linen, china, great wines, and above all it was a very relaxing evening. The pace was smooth and the timing was perfect. I have never dined like this anywhere!
