What a find. What a pleasant surpeise! A really great low keyed "hamptonesque" restaurant in ake park!! Greta food, great srevice, nice views and good wine list! Prices are good too! Its a must go

What an experience!. Well folks where do I start! Right from the begining when we entered to a packed house not having a reservation we thought we were done. Boy were we wrong! A gentleman approached us with one of the warmest welcomes we recieved in South Florida in a long time! He asked if we could be patient, hell he even offered us a glass of wine, which we declined knowing we were at fault for not having a reservation. We told him we would be fools not to wait. The wait alone was a great experience on a beautiful outdoor patio that to was packed with outdoor dining, but had just enough room for us to wait. Once we were seated after 15 minutes which felt like 2, we were greeted by an overwhelmingly friendly server who apologized to us for the wait! 'WOW" I almost forgot I was in Florida! In any case our party was a group of 4 and we tried everything on the menu almost. From our pizza for the table all the way to the homemade cheesecake we were in awe! Our service was extremely attentive, and that gentleman at the door checked on us several times! Come to find out he was the owner, which didn't surprise us one bit! There maybe better restaurants in Florida, but if you are looking for the total package well you must experience The Pelican Cafe! When we went back to our hotel we explained our find to the concierge and she told us we should try there brunch! So naturally we did and once again we were greeted in an amazing way, and had the best brunch experience on the patio! Congratulations Pelican Cafe you made a customer for life and I will let all my friends know as well!
