Office is clean but all they care about is money. They will give you root canals when you don't need them so you end up paying more, never follow up with you, and won't care about the fact that you're in pain. Very impersonal business-like atmosphere and they make you pay first which is quite rude. Technicians or other people (with an unknown level of training) poke you with needles. I wish I had never gone to this office. My emergency root canals set me back about $1,600 because the dentist made poor decisions and only works Monday through Wednesday to be able to fix those mistakes.
The moment I walked in the office I loved the atmosphere, clean and relaxing. The staff are very friendly and informative. My kids are their patients and am thinking about switching to Dr Shapiro. I will recommend them.
Amazing practice here. Office and support personnel are all extremely professional and friendly. All of the techs are as reassuring as the Dr. himself. Raphael especially does a great job. Just had some pretty extensive work; multiple fillings, root canals, extraction, crowns and implant all done in one visit. Dr. Shapiro and his staff worked around my time constraints. Dr. Shapiro is a very competent surgeon, this was my second major procedure with him, and the work is fantastic, I am recovering perfectly, and have not even used the pain medication. Do not hesitate to use Dr. Shapiros office. Best Dentist I have ever used.
I was looking at some of these reviews. It is obvious that a lay person has no idea about good dentistry and poor dentistry. My experience with Dr. Shapiro has been excellent. I am willing to bet that all these people had issues created because they wanted #1. "everything for free", or #2. their former dentist said "they did not need the procedure." Well, why are they not with their former dentist if he was so great. You get what you pay for and all I can say is I was treated wonderfully, respectfullly, had a treatment plan estimate before treatment at Shapiro and am completely satisfied with my new smile. I can imagine these people going to a heart doctor needing bypass surgery, and telling him that his other doctor said they only needed a band aid, or some asprin.
I had a horrible experience with this office and would be doing my community a disservice by not spreading the word. I'm sure they do an excellent job on root canals - they perform them often (evidenced by the fact that they seem to recommend them for every blip they see on an x-ray). After getting a second opinion, I was told I needed a filling (about 15% of the cost of a root canal). Shapiro is in it for the money, not for the patients. For long term care, I would not recommend this place. And ALWAYS get a second opinion!
I have had a terrible experience here as well. While I wasn't really treated rudely, I had a worse experience. My son got a temporary crown put on at the big price of 335.00 plus the $65.00 office visit fee on May 1,2012. Since his graduation is in a couple of weeks, I figured that this would hold until after graduation and I could then save for the 900+dollars they wanted for a permanent tooth. On May 13 the crown broke off. I contacted the office the next day and was told that it would cos me an additional 95.00 to fix it!! Two weeks it lasted!!! Are you kidding me? I explained to their office what I was trying to do (make it until after graduation) and she said that you knew it was only temporary. Why would I spend any more money at that office if this is the way they treat their patients and stand b their work? I just threw that money out of the window! It makes me sick!!
Great Dentist. Awesome experience with all staff that I interacted with. They were all very informative and took the time to answer my questions. Everything was simple, including the bill and costs of the next 4 visits!! COULDN'T BE HAPPIER!!
Very rude office staff. Very disappointing experience. I hope the dentists realize how awful their office staff is. They are abrupt, rude and they try to overbill you.
BEWARE!. Dr. Seth Shapiro capped my front teeth and ground the teeth down so far the caps keep coming off and now two of the teeth have broken off with over $6000. in dental work required to remove the half of the teeth that are still there and put implants in! Big mistake using this dentist!! Ground several teeth down to the quick so root canals were required, so he could charge even more money. BEWARE!
