Not Worth It- Go to Tryst Instead!!.
Went on a Tuesday evening with a friend for drinks and appetizers. They have bar specials, which we were there for since we're both on a budget. The bartender handed us menus, my friend chose a drink listed on the menu, I just had a glass of wine. The waiter then proceeded to say how they don't make half of the drinks on the menu anymore which seemed strange to me. He said they're in process of changing over menus items.
Then he completely ignored us the rest of the evening. I've gone to many restaurants that do this bar bit for happy hour. I've always had the same service as if I were buy their best filet instead of some mac and cheese. The food was delicious and relatively reasonably priced.
I wouldn't go back again though, mainly because the bartender was so awful!
Doesn't Cut It. This place is small and crowded and poorly laid out. Open kitchen made it smoky and hot. The food was good but extremely expensive for sliders and mac and cheese. But what prompts me to write is the terrible service by an arrogant hostess, waiters who were inattentive and rude and an indifferent owner. This attitude obviously comes from the top. Save your hard earned money and get a good steak elsewhere without the attitude!
POTENTIAL HEALTH RISK!!!.
HEALTH RISK!!!
While walking down to have dinner on the Avenue , I noticed a POD in the back of a group of retailors being used for storage. At first I didn’t think anything of it, but after taking a second look I saw food was being stored inside. Then I became even more curious. Surely a restaurant was not storing food to be prepared in an unconditioned POD (if you don’t know what a POD is, it’s a portable metal storage container). After looking around and asking a few questions to the locals, I found the POD was being used by a restaurant, CUT 432 to be exact. Down here in Florida, storing food in a POD is like storing food in your car day after day then getting it out when you’re ready to eat. This made my stomach turn!!! After taking a second look, I saw that the food was stored right next to cleaning chemicals. Food can not be stored next to chemical due to the potential of cross contamination. This is completely unacceptable for a restaurant. Based on this carelessness of food storage by this restaurant, I can only imagine how they handle food during preparation. I would NOT expose my friends and family to this potential heath risk. I HIGHLY recommend you don’t expose your friends and family to these risks by eating at this restaurant.
